Originally from Bloomington, Indiana, I moved to Atlanta in 1995 just in time for the 1996 Olympic Games. By Atlanta standards, I’m a native!

At the time I was an EMT and I was working at Piedmont Hospital in the surgery department. I realized I missed the sun and worse, I was no longer passionate about the work. Like most people in our industry, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do, so in 1995 I got my real estate license.

I’m happy to report that after a year of learning what real estate is and what it isn’t, I discovered that I had a knack for real estate and I loved the business of helping people with their real estate needs. From 1996 through 2018 I’ve achieved “top producer” status with the Atlanta REALTOR® Association, but more importantly, helped over 2,200 families move in, move out, and move-on with their lives either as their agent or with the assistance of one of my team members.

Over the years I’ve been award all kinds of recognitions from the brokers with whom I have worked. Top Producer this, President’s Council that, those things that are supposed to make agents feel good about their work. However, the awards never mattered to me as I always felt the true reward was getting to work for people in the midst of their most important decisions. In 2010 I decided that my level of service was not in concert with what most brokers were offering so I opened my own company, Capital City Realty.

I started with just 5 other agents – each as committed to servicing the needs of clients above themselves. We’ve grown to 33 people absolutely dedicated to making a difference in other people’s lives. In 2014 I aligned my company with Real Living. Real Living’s client-first approach to real estate is as unique as it is compelling, and they are the perfect national partner for my agents and me. Fortunately, my business world and my personal life overlap as my husband of 25 years works by my side at Real Living Capital City Realty.

While he and I are passionate about our company and our clients, I actually have a life outside of real estate! From hiking, camping, SCUBA diving, and travels, I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible with our black Labradane, Cooper. He’s a 100-pound puppy that keeps me on my toes.
