Shawn C. Williams, President of Fortis Mortgage, is an expert in the mortgage lending business, with a long history of helping clients fulfill their home ownership dreams. Driven by family values in both his home and work life, Shawn strives to help other families navigate the home-buying and financing process by providing exceptional service and the most affordable rates available.
Over Shawn’s 14-year career in the mortgage industry, he has overseen more than $2 billion in loans, while building outstanding leadership, management and team-building skills. Prior to founding Fortis Mortgage, he was Executive Vice President and Head of Production at Atlantic Coast Mortgage, where he was responsible for overseeing mortgage banking activities for the company’s network of retail branches. He also spent several years as district manager and Branch Manager for Academy Mortgage Corporation and Branch Manager at George Mason Mortgage. Shawn began his career as a mortgage loan officer with Bank of America Home Loans, where his passion for helping clients was first ignited.
Shawn believes in giving back to his community and is an active volunteer with several non-profit organizations, serving on numerous boards and committees. He has coached basketball for several schools and club teams, and enjoys golfing, reading and spending quality time with his wife and children. Shawn hails from central Virginia and holds a B.A. in Communication from George Mason University.
